What envelopes should I use for checks?

Use check envelopes sized to fit your check format, whether that's a business, wallet or #10 size. Our double window envelopes display the payee's name and return address automatically, so you don't need to hand-address each one, while single window and regular envelopes work well for statements and invoices too.

What does a business check envelope look like?

A business check envelope is typically a standard #10 or double window size, with one or two cut-out windows that show the recipient's name and address printed on the check or statement inside. This saves time since you don't have to write the address separately on the envelope.

What size are business check envelopes?

Business size double window envelopes are designed to fit standard business checks and statements. We also carry regular seal business size and self seal wallet or personal size envelopes for smaller checks.

What's the difference between self-seal and regular seal envelopes?

Both options securely close your envelope, so the choice comes down to your personal preference. Self-seal offers a quick, adhesive-based closure, while regular seal uses a traditional flap closure. Both are available in business and wallet sizes on this page.

Do your envelopes have security tinting?

Our #10 security envelope includes white security tint, which hides the contents from being read through the envelope. Our double window and regular check envelopes don't include tinting, so choose the #10 security option if that's a priority for your mailings.

How do I address a check envelope securely for mailing?

For double window envelopes, the payee's name and return address show through the windows automatically, so you only need to insert the check and statement correctly. For single window or blank envelopes, write the recipient's name and address clearly in the center, and always include your return address in the top left corner in case the envelope can't be delivered.
